PAW PATROL CHASE

This is the next in a series of the original 6 Paw Patrol dogs.  This is Chase.  He is the designed to portray a police officer.  Chase is German Shephard.  He, along with the other 5 Paw Patrol dogs, are a request from a co-worker.  The others will be coming soon.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn:  Cafe latte, black, royal, coffee brown, buff, yellow, red, delft blue, white, perfect pink, and carrot.
D and Size 6 crochet hook
White crochet cotton
DMC floss: Royal (796), yellow (444), pewter (414), gray (415), and white.
Size 18 Aida cloth
Embroidery needle
Polyester Fiberfil
Tapestry needle

BODY:
Rd 1: With cafe latte, 9 sc in magic ring.  (9)

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Weave tail through sc of Rd 49, pull tightly and secure.  Weave in ends.  Using gray, surface chain stitches up center of front of BODY for zipper.  Embroider EYES on head of CHASE.

MUZZLE:
Rd 1: With cafe latte, (4 sc, change to café latte, 2 sc, change to buff, 3 sc) in magic ring, slip st in first sc.  (9)
Rd 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, change to café latte, sc in next 2 sc, change to buff, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, slip st in first sc.  (12)
Rd 3: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, change to café latte, sc in next 2 sc, change to buff, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, slip st in first sc.  (15)

Using graph above, floss, and Aida cloth to cross stitch MEDALLION.
EDGING:
Rd 1: Attach gray floss and using Size 6 crochet hook in center of top of MEDALLION, sc in evenly around outside edge with 2 sc in each of Rws 16 and 14 and 2 sc in center of foundation ch, slip st in first sc, ch 10, wrap around COLLAR, slip st in first sc of EDGING.
Finish off.  Weave in ends.  Wrap COLLAR around neck of BODY and sew together.

TAIL:
