IMPERUS

This is a character that a customer designed.  He likes to make up his own characters for popular video games.  Imperus is designed to part of the Pokemon realm.  Imperus would be a dark/fire-type Pokemon.  All of the pieces of Imperus are made using E crochet hook unless otherwise stated.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: Oatmeal, gray, carrot, white, and black.
B and E crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle

BODY:
Rd 1: With oatmeal, 9 sc in magic ring.  (9)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (18)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (27)
Rd 4: sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc, (sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 3 times.  (31)
Rd 5: sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc, (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 4 times.  (36)
Rds 6-12: sc in each sc around.  (36)
Rd 13: (sc in next 17 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (38)
Rds 14-18: sc in each sc around.  (38)

Rws 3-6: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (10)

Rw 1: With oatmeal, ch 33, slip st in second ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next 28 ch, sc in next ch, slip st in next ch.  (32)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew BODY RIBS to BODY.

LOWER LEGS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With oatmeal, ch 9, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 6 ch, 3 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next 6 ch, 2 sc in next ch.  (18)
Rds 2-3: sc in each sc around.  (18)
Rd 4: (sc in next 7 sc, sc2tog) around.  (16)
Rds 5-6: sc in each sc around.  (16)
Rd 7: (sc in next 6 sc, sc2tog) around.  (14)

Rw 1: With oatmeal, ch 10, slip st in second ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next 5 ch, sc in next ch, slip st in next ch.  (9)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew 2 LEG RIBS to each TIHIGH.

FINGERS (MAKE 8):
Rd 1: With white, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)
Rd 2: sc in each sc around.  (4)  Change to oatmeal.
Rd 3: 2 sc in each sc around.  (8)
Rd 4: sc in each sc around.  (8)
Rd 5: (sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog) around.  (6)
Finish off in first 3 FINGERS for each HAND.  DO NOT FINISH OFF IN 4TH FINGER FOR EACH HAND.  Weave in ends.

HANDS/ARMS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: sc in next 3 sc on FINGER #1, sc in next 3 sc on FINGER #2, sc in next 6 sc on FINGER #3, sc in next 3 sc on FINGER #2, sc in next 3 sc on FINGER #1.  (18)

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Wrap ARM BANDS around ARMS and sew together.

ARM RIBS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With oatmeal, ch 19, slip st in second ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next 16 ch, sc in next ch, slip st in next ch.  (18)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew ARM RIBS to ARMS.

HEAD:
Rd 1: With oatmeal, 8 sc in magic ring.  (8)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (16)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (24)

Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (3)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew NOSE to MUZZLE.

BEARD:
Rw 1: Attach oatmeal in sc next to MUZZLE, complete 38 sc around HEAD to other side of MUZZLE moving up 6 rounds and back down as you go around.  (38)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc around.  (38)
Rw 3: (Ch 3, sc in second ch from hook, hdc in next ch, skip next sc, slip st in next sc) around.
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

EYES (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With black, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew EYES to HEAD.  Using white, embroider pupils on EYES.

HORN:
Rd 1: With gray, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)
Rd 2: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (6)
Rd 3: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (8)
